Our Story
Revolution Plantation was founded in 2014 by Fantastic Negrito, who transformed a piece of Oakland land into more than just a farm, he created a vision for community. What began as a personal project to reconnect with the earth quickly grew into a space where neighbors, families, and youth could gather, learn, and thrive.
From the start, the goal has been simple but powerful: to show the importance of sustainability, celebrate the wonder of nature, and rebuild community through shared experience. Over the years, Revolution Plantation has become a place where children meet farm animals, families learn about growing food, and people of all ages can learn, explore, and grow alongside nature.
Today, we continue to grow that vision. Through community events, hands-on education, and the spread of urban farming knowledge, Revolution Plantation is planting the seeds of resilience and hope for Oakland and beyond.
